 IMPORTANT QUESTION

I know of some plants that my friend has and one of them is a hermie. He noticed this before when the plants started to bud and plucked all of the pollen pods off of the plant. He noticed that some of the spots where the pods were taken off started to grow pistils. Well that was about four weeks ago and the pods are back. He plucked all the pods he saw again and moved the other girls away from the hermie. My question is will the hermie pollinate itself without the pods opening? (i have heard of females getting random seeds in some buds) How far away does he need to move the plants away to make the highest probability of no pollination of the other girls? Also just some advice or personal experience on the subject of hermies would be cool.
I also read a few posts on wheather the seeds from the hermie will be feminized or not. This was all confusing to me, as I am a nOOb. So will these be fem seeds or what?
I know this is alot but im in a bind because I dont want my plants to get ruined (a.k.a. have more seeds to use in the future, I dont know which is better)

If you keep the hermie around you taking a chance on fucking things up. For the plant to pollinate itself a pod has to open,

Male pollen can travel MILES it can even travel on your clothes and pollinate a female, I would just chop the hermi plant...If a hermi pollinates other plants they will be female, but they will also have a HIGH probability of being hermi themselves-not good.

Ya the farther you get the hermaphrodite away the safer your females will be,and if the male flowers are not removed the plant will pollinate it self and the plants around it,also you can use the pollen from the hermaphrodite to make feminized seeds,but like renaissance said you may get some hermaphrodites from that seed stock !
