Does anyone grow in rockwool any more?

That was the big thing about 25 years ago. Big ebb and flow tables with rockwool slabs. Now it seems like most people grow in a soilless mix. That's just what I gleaned from reading High Times. I started growing tomatoes hydro in the 8th grade for a science project. I grew in geolite which is puffy pebbles. My grandfather bought me a 250 watt MH and HPS conversion bulb.

I've seen people here and there use em. Not real common though.

They're good for cuttings if you don't have a cloner I suppose. I start my seeds off in rockwool cubes.

I bought some clones almost 20 years ago and they were started in rockwool and then rooted further in plastic party cups in soil. I'm thinking of buying a tent and growing herbs and tomatoes hydro. I figure the grow will cut down on my heating bill, and fresh herbs are very expensive.
