im having such a hard time finding ruderalis seeds, im thinking they might not even exist.
the closest i can find is autoflowers which always come from ruderalis, you'd think they'd be more available.
anyway, im planning on doing a very small grow. small plants. small yeild. just to test out the waters.
im so excited.

thanks tho, i may just go ahead and order some seeds instead of testing with bagseed.
i dont wanna waste time waiting to find out gender. chances are all my bag seed will be male

That Gorilla seeds sponsor we got recently looks really dope, I'll probably be getting some seeds from them very shortly.
Also, auto flowers are the shit if you're just learning to grow and are planning on growing under CFL. They do extremely well with 24/0 but I like to do mine at least 18/6 just because.
The most important thing I've learned from auto flowers is to start them in the pot you plan on finishing in. Theres no time for transplanting. Stopping the plants focus mid-growth to re focus on its roots ends up fucking up your yield pretty bad. I suggest starting them in at the very least gallon pots too. They're only gonna get as tall as they're gonna get regardless. They might not use the entire gallon, but giving them the option is your best bet.

yeah i was checking out that site actually. i think i'll probably go with an autoflower so i dont have to
adjust times and anything. but i want smaller plants to fit in my closet, so i'm going to use smaller
pots so to keep root growth minimal. just want to get the idea of the plant before rushing in. because
when i first started mushrooms, i made the mistake of wasting all of my spores on a newb grow.
hope to use my mushroom exp to help me out. but i know it's another ball game entirely.
at least i've got patience, and some gardening experience. i just wish seeds weren't so god damn expensive.

With the amount of time and resources you will put into it, its not worth it to not try and pull some yield.
I wouldn't go smaller than a 5, maybe 7 gallon pot.
What Rasjeph said about autos is absolutely true.
What I have found with them is they have a very finite time for growth that you have to take advantage of the best you can.
Also, I can't speak for the strain entirely as mine are still developing but check out Northerlights x blue auto.

i've hear shamans used ruderalis for it's psychoactive properties, helping them achieve their trance states. aperantly low thc levels, but the same overall cannabinoid content.
now i think they just use ruderalis to produce autoflowering seeds.

You don't want to grow a pure ruderalis the only thing you'll find is that the shamans were full of shit. Making autoflowers is all it's good for.

i think my next project is gonna be a mostly sour diesel (my fav sativa) , and maybe a few bubba kush (my fav bedtime indica ... feels like pain pills )

idk i want to find this strain that i had once. it felt like a straight up benzo!
my dealer called it "afghan" wish i could find something similar.
sour diesel is a good strain though for sure. i wouldn't mind trying barney farm's LSD strain tho

Afghan is an entire lineage of cannabis. There are many strains with the prefix Afghani and many more without that have afghan heritage.
