Dunno, seems like you are being a bit obsessive, check out other people's logs and comment them, dunno, do whatever you gotta do, 50 posts is pure joke, the mods cant change that as the website has been made like that, you can open a support ticket if you want, but imo they will just tell you to make 50 posts, you should introduce yourself in the smoke lounge, get to know people a bit instead of making a thread to complaint about this...

Yeah i have major issues with needless restrictions. Just let people be free. I've never even noticed any spamming problems here.
Everyone's a scammer or spammer now, i think it's counter productive and insulting.

I think the purpose of such restriction is due to the number of trolls that would just create an account and spam some dumb logs, we want some serious grow logs, fixing it to 50 posts is kinda a way to make sure everyone who'll wanna keep a log will have serious intentions. Its kinda "forcing" you to get along with the other users, 50 posts can be made in like 2-3-4 days easilly without spamming.

I think it's a patch for lazy mods and uninformed members. I do some serious logging,
I'm not really here to make friends, not that i dislike people but i don't converse very often. It's not natural to me.
I like making and sharing nice things though.

If you got pictures of weed growing you could post them in the Marijuana pictures, if you like music you can post songs in the Tunes Town thread (subthread of The Smoke Lounge), I understand you might not want to post that much before making your log, but I mean, by the time your ticket is most likely to be answered, you'd have time to reach 50 posts!

I actually agree that no pics is uncalled for. Especially for people asking for help in Doctors section.
But a week isn't really that long to have to wait, a week to be posting links and whatnot. And you also seem to be oversensitive on the whole subject.

I also think that the pictures thing is a deterrent to new membership. A lot of people that reg here, do so because they have an immediate problem, and they're looking for help; what's the first thing we ask for when someone has a growing problem? Pictures of the issue. If they join to get help, and then we can't help them, they don't stick around.
Maybe I've missed it, but has there been a rational explanation of this pic uploading rule by Geo? Is this another Shroomery fuck-up whose ripples affect the Growery?

One minute i was happily minding my own business, next minute i'm on a shitty account and i can't even add links to my own thread. I'm here to help the site, i should have extra upload space if i need it and whatever else, not restrictions. Everyone should be appreciated from the moment they come in here.
I've just about reached my limit on stupid restrictions and people who put them in place.
I refuse to make those posts just so i can help out round here.
