So how far does a rocket need to go for you to be an astronaut on your grave stone? I'm in an argument and I say as long as you fly up in a rocket with the intention of going into space you're an astronaut. Even if you onnly go 100 feet and explode.
You still earned that title.
Like that astronaut farmer he didn't give a fuck. He followed his dreams. But I don't really care about that, when I'm ready to die I just wanna fly in a rocket so my grave stone can say astronaut Jeph lol.

Its a title you recieve before you even step into the space craft, once you're qualified and selected for travel you are an astronaut.

I'm not a lawyer just because I go to court or read law books. You aren't an astronaut just cause you blew your shit up in the sky.

I dunno man. I guess its because building a ghetto rocket in your lawn/garage takes a lot more effort than pretending to be something else.
IMO if you make a rocket and launch it believing you might get to space, you're a fuckin astronaut lol. I mean, if there has to be an asterisk next to my name in the book/on my grave that specifies I wasn't trained and did everything myself, I'll deal with that. 
IDK. I was drunk as fuck when I posted this. I'm not even sure why it was a good idea.

No, but if you were qualified and had passed the bar, you would be called a lawyer even before you had your first case. Same goes with astronauts, just have to pass the exams'nshit
