Is this cannabutter video reliable?

I found this how-to video that demonstrates how to make cannabutter.
It seems very easy and simple, but it is less cooking time than other recipes I have seen..it says 45 min..
So I am just curious what some of the expert cannabutter cooks on here think.
Will it make strong enough butter?
I'll be using some high quality buds.

Thank you

Well I think its a shame to use real buds to make butter myself. But to each their own.
The amount of weed you put into it is up to you. If you want it stonger just add more ganja.

I do anywhere from 2-8hrs. It depends on how lazy I'm feeling. But I've also done it for 45 minutes and had success. But the rule of thumb is the longer the better. Ive also done it for 24 hours in the crock pot.

24 hours in the crock pot must have been incredible

Yeah it worked pretty well, I dont really think it increases potency enough to make it worth the extra time in all honesty.

That depends on how valuable your time is lol..

With the crockpot I didn't stay up all night. Just set and forget it. I just didn't notice much of an increase in potency.

Old ass post i know... just thought I'd share my recipe.
I don't like to use bud....but when my patient requests it i do.
I use the crock pot method.
One 1lb butter per oz of bud One cup water per stick of butter ( remember you can never use too much water) cook on low for 6-8 hrs. Stirring occasionally.
It is very important that the butter/bud BARELY simmers.
When its done most of the bud will have sunk to the bottom of the crock pot.
Now take some cheese cloth and cover the top of a bowl large enough to hold the material in your crockpot. (Tape works well for me to attach the cheese cloth)
Strain the material through the cheese cloth. Take the bud ...use some sort of press or just squeeze it with your hands to get the last of butter out of the bud. Now place the bowl in the back of your fridge and let it sit for 4-5 days. Then pull it out. Now the butter will have risen to the top and made a nice hardened layer. Cut out all of the butter and discard the water. Now reclaim the butter. I have a mold that i dump the butter into. I make several good size blocks out of it. I then place the blocks butter in the freezer.
Hope that is a clear enough recipe. I'm a little medicated atm
