If radioactive isotopes are absorbed by marijuana plants, wouldnt they also be in every bit of food produced in America, and thus in even higher concentrations in the meat and poultry produced in America? I know for a fact most high potassium foods (bananas, mushrooms, etc.) contain a decent amount of radioactive potassium isotopes, and yet all of this amounts to nothing compared to the radioactive isotopes released from coal-fired power plants.
Point is, I see where your concerns arise, but to be honest, you should be more worried about the carcinogens produced during incomplete combustion of the plant material rather than the radioactive contamination you receive from inhaling the smoke, and even that is not too much of a concern when compared to tobacco.
Hope this helps, agmotes165

The thing that's pointless about this is how many "radioactive" elements there are that really don't cause us significant harm. Google "banana equivalent dose" if you want an example.
We are carbon based life forms, and about 2% of all carbon atoms are either C13 or C14, which are both radioactive.
I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here....

Whats pointless is this whole statement. Reason being that the elements THAT ARE BEING RELEASED are harmful to biological life. If they weren't harmful you wouldnt see the devastation in Iraq from Uranium, You wouldnt see the devastation in Eastern Europe from Chernobyl. Why is everyone just trying to debate me when what Im saying is scientifically sound and solid.

I'm not debating you, I'm just asking for clarification. And quite frankly, your aggressive, needlessly confrontational debate "style" makes having any sort of civil discussion with you rather impossible.
I will however take this opportunity to motion towards your obvious lack of comprehension about radioactivity. Sure you think you have a firm grasp, but it's merely a skeletal knowledge that provides a feeling of competence, but without the musculature to support that skeleton your whole argument is moot.
It's simple, are you ready? Quote:
the elements THAT ARE BEING RELEASED are harmful to biological life
First, biological life is redundant. Second, radioactive elements do not release more elements. they release various subatomic particles in the form of alpha particles, beta particles and gamma rays. For example, Carbon 14 will undergo beta decay and release a beta particle (generally a proton which converts to a neutron to balance charge), an antineutrino, and a gamma ray. Through this, it changes to Nitrogen 14. You can see now that elements are not released, but rather subatomic particles are released and restructured to form new elements known as "daughter nuclei."
Also, no shit it's harmful to you. Are you trying to say we shouldn't eat anything ever again because everything has radioactive elements? Nothing containing carbon, nitrogen, potassium, hydrogen, calcium, or iron? Good luck with that.

LOL
What I meant about radiation being released is radiation being released from the crippled reactors in Japan.

didn't they just vent "radioactive gas" which i assume is radon or an isotope of xenon? This would thoroughly dissipate through the atmosphere...and the increased levels of overall radioactive gases in the atmosphere would not give you the equivalent exposure of being in a poorly ventilated house with granite chimneys or countertops...idk im a little stoned at them moment feel free to correct

Omg You have no grasp of what happened at all. Its not like they say oh were venting gas today, and thats all thats released. 4 mother fucking nuke reactors fucking exploded... releases millions of beqeruels of multiple ionizing radioactive elements. Massive amounts of radiation have been released in the form of steam and smoke. Lmao thats so laughable, Radioactive rain at 400cpm being compared to granite counter tops. hahahaahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahah
also, whats up with that ugly grinder in your sig? I hate it.

fuck green stuff. except Cannabis.
the world should be a wasteland. it'd be cool. with mutants and stuff... we could be blasting things all day! life's too short anyways; why live in this boring capitalist society when you can just fend of radiation poison and scavenge for food all time, whilst blowing away people and stealing their shit for your own personal power.
that's sounds like fucking fun, man!

On a lighter note, I'm glad you liked my aluminum etching project, feel free to check out the tek I wrote for it, if you need help with any big words, feel free to .
In the mean time, I'm gonna go partake in some radioactive bud...peace. agmotes165
