yes, its been well cured and dried, but what is it that that makes it so difficult to stay lit? Breaking it up to powder doesnt seem to help either. Anyone know what causes this? Thanks

I just chop it with scissors until its like a powder almost when this happens. Smaller particles but with an over all greater surface area burn better.

It happens in most cases with the grower used a lot of nutrients when he grew the plants and didn't take the time to flush the plants properly.

kinda sorta...smaller particles generally burn more quickly and readily due to their increased surface area/ volume ratio, so there is more total surface area exposed to oxygen...however this only works if the particles have enough oxygen around them to be exposed to...in a packed bowl/joint setup, smaller particles means a higher packing density, meaning less airspace b/w individual particles...not only does this mean there is not enough reserve oxygen packed in with the bowl, but it also means that any natural or forced induction of fresh air into the bowl is going to be blocked, due to the lack of preferential air channels formed by these void spaces. So chopping the weed finely will improve burn rate up to a point, but beyond that point you are just wasting energy chopping it up more...

Nah, I made a typo its well cured and dried. The comment about the poor flush is probably accurate. I know the grower often says, "Dont rush the flush". I mean it still works but seems strange its so fireproof. Any harm in smokin it?

Compare the ash from properly flushed weed and ditch weed or blow the smoke through a napkin and that's basically the difference.
Can't say it's going to be harmful but it aint doing you no good! Smoking weed of that quality long term would probably be bad for your health.

All good. Grow your own and you can guarantee the quality of the flush.

Or grow organically and don't flush at all

Yeh, organic just soil with rapid-gro for leafage then miracle-gro for flowering not truly organic but just a little old fashioned type of homegrown.
