Using peat pots or jiffy cubes

Hi guys, I finally recieved my papaver poppy seeds today, and went out and got some peat pots to start them in. Anyways, the peat pots were so cheap, I was wondering if I could also use these for growing marijuana also? I don't think ive seen them in any of the tutorials or grow diaries that i've seen.
And what about these jiffy cubes? Are they any good for starting off? The only grows journals/tutorials ive seen use them, use them with clones only, not seedlings. I'll be growing from seed, not from clones.
Cheers Magickz

never used peat pots sorry no info there but..
the reason they dont start off seeds in jiffy pucks is because they eventually deteroriate and can mess up ph of things (supposedly)
also you would quickly exceed the capacity of the jiffy puck, and if you're using soil you will just want to usually start the seedlings in the pot they will finish in to prevent unneeded stress, if your plant things it has room to spread its legs it will be happy
