hermie risk from feminized seeds

why do so many major seed companies only sell feminized seeds if its so common for them to turn hermie?

from what ive read greenhouse and barneys seeds seem to be the major culprits, is it really as bad as what ive been reading on other forums.

growing fems would make such better use of the grow space im going to be using.

additional question,
in regards to mothers and clones in a small cab, would a simple oscillating fan suffice for ventilation, or would a exhaust fan be necessary. lets just say the lighting is 2 50w fluorescent tubes.

i just read on greenhouse seeds that all their seeds are now guarenteed hermie free. :shrug:
