I wonder what the effects will be if the lighting was on one hour and off one hour.
could this be done for 12/12 cycle i.e. lights will be on 12 hours but not on for 12 hours in a row.
what would be the effects if this was done for the veg cycle? you could basically have the lights on throughout the 24 hour cycle only the lights will be on for one hour and off for one hour....could you use 12 hours lighting but spread it over 24 by having on one hour and off one hour?

I don't know why you would want to break your lighting plan like that, it would do nothing more than stress the plant to hermi and stunt it's growth.

The plant won't flower without 12hrs in a row during the flowering period. 1 on 1 off would keep it from flowering and like was already said would most likely just stress the plants.

I was thinking of this just yesterday but dismissed it.
It was a good idea while I was baked, but then I remembered it needed the full dark time or I'd be defeating the purpose lol.
Also, I doubt powering on/off your ballast that many times a day is good for it.
