For ventilation I've just got an extraction fan and I'll need to get some flexible ducting to direct the airflow outside. I'm going to fit a carbon filter to the end of the ducting. Just wanted to ask a few questions: 1) Is there any practical difference or advantage to using either pvc flexible ducting or aluminium? 2) will the pvc ducting fit securely to the fan & carbon filter using a duct connector (typically seem to be plastic) or would a fast clamp be needed (not even sure if these work on ducting, think they're purely for connecting the filter to the fan).
