 Just got a letter from my internet provider

So I got a letter saying that while they were routunely monitering bandiwidth utilization they noticed a high amount of peer-to-peer bandwidth associated with my IP.
What the fuck? I'm not really concerned since it was a letter from my ISP and not from an actual recording company so I know I'm not in any legal trouble but the last time I got a letter it was from warner bro's. Should I be worried about this? Can they cancel my internet even though nobody is pressing charges?
Also, I haven't downloaded anything in a few months, but I have some stuff seeding and I only use private trackers.

Ok, I pretty figured it out myself. The letter was just saying that there was file sharing going on, on my IP addresses banwidth. And they were just warning that if the files being shared are copyrighted that the company that holds the copyright could persue legal action. Not in any trouble or anything, just a warning saying I could get in trouble.
Still gonna download torrents

I use a program that blocks my ip and I only download private trackers and pretty much all the music I download is from punk bands that wouldn't give a shit about illegal downloading
And all my ISP knows is there is file sharing going on, they can't prove that the files being shared are copyrighted.

torrent sites are being shutdown right now and are being monitored, i'd be careful.
the music programs all of that shit is being taken down. i dont know how far they will actually go in to stopping it but they are trying it looks like.

I've gotten them from my isp, warner, fox (three times), and Viacom.
This month I have 286.1 gigs uploaded (That's what really pisses them off)
and 220.7 downloaded.

Time Warner works like this. They give you 3 strikes basically
First time is a warning. 2nd time, they may shut off your internet until you call in and say that you will remove file sharing programs
3rd time, they have the right to terminate your internet services
When you use Utorrent, you should set a "max downloading bandwidth," this will prevent yourself from drawing attention. I think i have mine set at 200 Kb/s... This way it doesnt slow down my internet and it doesnt draw any attention
Only time I have ever been caught is when i was downloading a new movie that was out on Cam. Music and older files seem to be pretty safe. But then again, I only use Demonoid for all of my downloading.
Magash- you got me beat by 4 GB (uploaded), I only have 174GB downloaded.

Australia has slower internet than some 3rd world countries so I just don't have the bandwidth for it.

They've shut me off twice already. They don't tolerate that shit around here, I'm not sure why. I do know they attacked all of the college students around here using the Universitys internet and sent like 50% or more of them letters saying they would be given HUGE fines like 500,000 dolla bills and then some quit but they realized it didn't work.
So next you started hearing about people using their own ISP getting these letters including myself. Never had anything serious come about it I always just call and say well I'm sorry but if you can't prove it was from MY computer and can't prove that the files were illegal in any way then I'm going to have to ask your nigger ass to turn my internet back on.
They usually do but of course with the warning and shit. Haven't heard anything lately other than the feds attacking all of those sites including like Limewire and all of those. I'm just laying off of them for the time being.

Yeah. Be cautious friends. Government is cracking down big time on this torrent download crap.
I used to get movies all the time, now I see on the news that people are getting arrested, and MAJOR fines, like sick out rageous, brittany spears can't offord fines.
So now I don't.
Be smart. Stop downloading. Stream netflix instead.
