    #460155 - 08/14/10 03:26 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

I was sitting here watching the golf tournament smoking the remaining hash i have and started thinking about finally writing down the things I hope to do in my lifetime.  I figured I would share this with everyone and maybe you will want to do the same.  I'd love to see what all of you people hope to do with this holy gift of life.  This is a work in progress and im sure i am forgetting soo many small things.  Its also in random order.

Stay at the Burj al arab in UAE

so much to list.  travel is probably the biggest one, I even want to go to antartica.  I'd like to climb a mountain of 20,000 ft or higher.  learn to scuba dive.  dive in a sub, would be cool to see the titanic before it completely rusts away. I'd like to go into space if given the chance too.

you know what i did in english class? I love scuba diving, I've been doing it for 9 years.

I'd like to

Master the guitar
Dive the Great Barrier Reef
Live out on the road
Live in a commune
Go to Amsterdam
Snowboard the Rockies and Alps

and then after it's all done: do a thumbprint

Here's mine, once again in no particular order, but definitely some things I would like to accomplish:

To not have to go to a job that I hate everyday and am tempted to shoot myself because of.

To be happy

Travel and see the world, some of the same places ya'll said.  Most of the same places actually   (Australia, Europe, some of Asia, South America.

Go diving for sure.  Space if I had the chance.

To live my life comfortably and happy.

To leave something behind to my possible future family.

Skydiving maybe.

Wow, this is hard...

If I ever get financially secure, to help some people who aren't as fortunate and really have no choice of their living conditions.  Notice I said SOME.

AAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDD..............to live long enough to see teh weedz get legalized across the board.:getstoned:

Visit all the same countries that my dad visited, then visit twice as many just to piss him off. he visited 54 and I've done 15 so far
Thumbprint
Land a fish over 1.5M, then release
camp in a foreign forest for at least a month with >4 people
Rent a ferrari/Lambo or something similar and tear it up on a racetrack for the day
Design and build my dream house
Own a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and a 1969 Pontiac GTO
Own a 1000L+ fishtank
Have a continuous grow op fully operational at some stage
Fly in a private Jet with one other person of my choosing
Smoke alot of weed in that Jet

Probably more but can't think of them at the moment

-Finish my degree
-Teach HS for a few years, try to make an impact in a few peoples education.
-Get a graduate degree (what it will be varies on how much I like teaching HS).
-Join my hometowns City council, try to make an impact in the local community.
-Make sure to educate people about important issues publicly.
-Provide a home or job for my brother because of how fucked his life is.
-Be a lifetime student, I want to always be taking a class or two a year.
-Rent out property low price for supplemental income as I get older.

There are more, but the list goes on and on and changes depending on choices I make.

Cool thread.

A few of my life aspirations...

Experience Ayahuasca
Visit the Amazonian jungle (will probably coincide with the first one)
Produce a studio album
See Cannabis legalized
Find 'the one'
Go skydiving
Go into space

I happened to be fortunate enough to get tickets two years ago with my dad through one of his business partners. Aside from the heat the weather was absolutely beautiful for golf and spectating.

And the grass is so nice. I would like nothing more than to get completely ripped and run across it barefoot. :awedance:

So yeah, if you ever get the chance to get on the ticket list, either by yourself or sharing with others, go for it. I'm sure I don't have the same level of appreciation for golf as you either.

I dont understand how you'd feel sorry for him. Just because your 3some sucks doesn't mean his will fail also. Do you really think your life experiences hold any value to his goals in life? Really?

Just got a text from a friend saying she wanted to see the norhtern lights before she died.  That made me remember this thread.  I looked over my list and it's been 14 months since I made it and WOW, i am surprised!  I think I am going to have a few drinks and come up with a new list.  My life has changed a lot this past year.  My priorities have been shuffled around a lot and I'm starting to discover my purpose here.  I wonder if anyone else has changed theirs?

For sure my dude. I feel where im at and what im doing now is what is supposed to be going on. I was lost for a while. Right now im struggling with incorporating who i am and what im good at in to the real world to make a somewhat live able life, long term.

As far as a list goes....

Ride a few tours.
See the northern lights (yeah, i stole it FB :P )
Sleep on the beach in cali.
Meet 5 more OG growery members (i tend to like y'all)
Go to and graduate college.
Successfully Complete Drug court
Move out west, eventually.
Hit some major festivals.
Find my place in this madness.

nice! You could do some of those in a single year, or overlap some of them.  I'd like to go to a Growery Gathering sometime too.  That'd be rad as shit.  what do you mean by ride a few tours?

like ride a few tours across the country. get out, rage for a night. pack up, drive to the next show, etc etc. i would of picked up and hit bassnectars 5 FL shows if i was able too, but drug court restricts those types of freedoms. Many of the things that i want to do are restricted by drug court, so right now thats my #1 thing to get done. 10.5 months left!

But yeah many of them can and im sure will overlap. And id really like to do a growery gathering. It's hard because we are so spread out. Seems like it usually ends up being 3-4 people from a certain area meet up.

oh shit mayne, i thought i read that you were almost done with that stuff.  i guess i misunderstood.  or maybe it was a process within the whole process.  ive never done the drug court thing but i did go through a couple of diversion programs.  one was called TASC and i think it's nationwide to some degree.  sucks balls but no freedom restrictions like that.  going on tour like that would be fucking awesome!  I've done that for tool to some degree.  drove 8 hours from Abq to denver, got there and watched the show, then drove back to ABQ to catch a flight to SLC for a show the next night (missed widespread panic cause i had to drive to the ABQ airport), then from SLC watched that show, then flew to Phoenix and stayed with a friend and watched that show then flew back to ABQ the next day for another show.  I ended up traveling with a guy from canada who went to all of the shows that tour.  ended up going to like 13 or 14 shows and spent like 3-4 grand.  that's one thing that i really want to do in Europe.  it'll probably be even easier to travel like that over there too.  Still need a ton of money though.

Yeah, seems like we are divided.  lots of easties and westies on here.  hopefully it works out before God flushes us down the drain.

well in a way i am getting done with it. 10.5 months may seem like a long time... but when i started in july 2010, i had 24 months. now im down to 10. also the first 12-13 months i had to do, i had to do from a rehab/residential treatment center. ive been on my own for about a month now, so the last year i get to do from the comfort of my own home.

its been a haul, and i still got work left to do. but it's getting there.

This is what I've come up with so far:

Bucket List:
[] Burning Man
[] Learn how to blow glass
[] Go in a sensory deprivation tank
[] Hike the Appalachian Trail
[] Hike the Superior Hiking Trail
[] Trip to the Boundary Waters
[] Grow my own cannabis
[] Grow my own mushrooms (edible and psychedelic)
[] Go to space
[] Visit Yosemite
[] Visit Yellowstone
[] Visit Glacier National Park
[] Live on a commune
[] Grow some of my own food
[] Take MDMA
[] Properly experience DMT (freebase or ayahuasca)
[] Go to an astronomy star party
[] See the Flaming Lips again
[] Camp in Alaska
[] Go rock climbing

I'm going to keep thinking about this for a while.
