curing question..
    #458311 - 08/11/10 02:57 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

Im not very sure if anyone has used this product or not , but I do know its great for shrooms. if you put this stuff in little packets  you think it might help with the sweat when your curing? or it just fuck up your harvest.

well it absorbs moisture and dehumidifies, keeps food fresh, so i would think it probably would help when curing, to absorb the moisture and keep your buds from molding if you weren't opening the jar a few times a day. just a thought though.

hey check out what i found

Quote:

Method Five: Cut fresh buds and foliage into small pieces and place them in a glass jar with an airtight lid. Place several silica gel desiccant packs (the kind that come with electronic devices and cameras) into the glass jar and seal the jar. Moisture will migrate to the silica gel in a few hours. Remove the packets and dry in the sun. Replace silica packs until marijuana is dry enough to smoke. Find silica gel packs at auto parts or electronic stores.

>Remove the packets and dry in the sun.<

 umm, maybe try drying in a well vented dark chamber instead, light is not good for the active compounds

Firstly I want to say that it is a really silly way to dry weed, I would not even call it a cure :nonono: more like a torture, your buds will taste like lawn clippings :puke:

Second, they mean dry the silica gel packs in sun not the weed LOL
