Odor, Drying and Curing
    #347626 - 01/14/10 02:17 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

Hello,

I recently acquired some very fresh buds. The buds feel dry to the touch but the stems are still a little moist and pliable. I was told that the plant had a nice bouqet before the initial drying, but now it smells similar to hay. Will the products bouqet return after it has been completely dried and cured? Or does this indicate low quality genetics?

sounds like it wasn't cured, or even well dried at all. you should be sad about whoever sold those to you, but curing them will definitely help

lol, I know it wasn't cured. I was wondering if the odor returns to buds after curing because there was a clear loss of odor. In between completely fresh (skunky) and mostly dry (hay-like). Also, I didn't pay for these buds, they were a gift.

Let me rephrase the question:

Is this odor loss natural at the beginning of the drying process, and if and when the buds are cured, does this restore or create a new bouquet?
