Closet cultivation questions

Hi everyone,
A few simple questions. I have Cervantes' 2006 Indoor/Outdoor grow bible, but it seems geared to a biker-gang sized growup. I want to try growing maybe 3-5 plants in my closet and no more.
I looked at the reviews for the Closet Cultivator by Rosenthal on Amazon, and some of them don't look too impressive. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations... maybe Rosenthal / my book is good enough?
My goals are to not destroy the closet / walls / drywall, as I have respect for the house owners. Just want to keep it low-pro. Maybe I need to pull a Dexter and put plastic vinyl plastic all over the closet walls... ? So many unanswered questions.
And will that many plants stink up my entire room? I don't really want to fork out for an ozone generator if I don't have to.
Anyways enough ranting... thanks in advance!

You don't need those books man. Everything is here. Just poke around a bit. I've never harvested indoors but I know there are strains that don't throw off as much smell as others. I know magash could steer you in the right direction as far as that goes. Nose around the strains, breeders and seedbanks forum. There's lots of helpful info in there. I'd get a scrubber though. When my room was crammed full of mothers and clones it still stunk up the basement big time. I can't even imagine what it would smell like if we flowered in there. (It was just a veg room for the outdoor season)
Either way good luck to you man. Everything you need to know to get started is here. And welcome to the GrOwErY !!

what he said also i dunno i f you will be bale to get a closet grow without touching the walls of the closet your gonna need ventilation, most likely to outside. also you might be able to fit 5 plants in a closet but they will be laughable plants. i dont think one of my plants would fit in a closet

Yah I read on overgrow (when it was around) for 4 months to learn growing. Likewise everything is here. What I do is if I want to know something, I read it in one or two different ways or until I find something I feel is solid. Then you know one more thing.
I'd say the most important things I didn't do my first grow are
#1 change hydro nutes every 2 weeks or 1 week and flush with water for 1 week #2 cure your buds the right way or have fun with moldy buds #3 train your plants unless you want sativa's that are 6+ feet tall #4 don't go overboard on nutes, hydro/soil, so easy to do but it is worse then less typically.

You could always buy a small, "portable" closet and use that. Perfectly sized for a few plants, relatively cheap, and you won't mess up the house any.

I agree with everyone else, if your limited to a closet then go with a grow tent or portable closet. This will allow you to install your fans, lights, and such without doing damage to your place.
Making a large cabinet like coda has pictured is doable and very inexpensive.

Depends on the strain and how sensitive you are to the smell of weed.

I think that if you even had some Mexican shwag three flowering plants without a filter/good ventilation out a window would be noticeable by a visitor to your room/adjacent to the room.

If you have over 200w going in your closet you should consider an in-line fan (with or without a carbon scrubber) to pull air out of your grow box.
If that is too expensive just have an osculating fan and burn incense.(make sure your plants grow room is under 82 degrees F)
