Get some 6" ducting.
Figure out a way to connect the two without any air escaping. You could put the 4" ducting slightly in the 4.5" cool tube and then duct tape it.

Is this a homemade cooltube? I'm 99.999% sure the commercial cooltubes fit the ducting pretty easily

HydroFarm Cool Tubes will fit either with 6" or 8" ducting perfectly. 4.5 is not really a proper duct sizing. The holes in my tent are 4"and 6".

Duct tape wont do much but leave a mark on your tube. I duct taped a fan to my cool tube to push air through it and out the tent.

No, the heat won't bother the tape. I use duct tape on both ends of my AC 600 with no problems.

While duct tape is cool, it don't work so well with humidity. I'd shoot for some hose clamps from home depot or a hardware store; essentially that bolts down the ducking to the cool tube.
