hey guys, i'm building my first real box right now using some 2x3's and plywood. light is 250w hps. picking up a fan tomorrow and doing all the ductwork. the dimensions of the thing are 64"h x 30"w x 24" depth. it's all going pretty well so far, i'm filled with anticipation to move my legal herbs into it.
well i've blown enough money already and i've decided to coat the inside of this big ol' wooden box with something i already have. the two best choices i have are: - sheet vinyl, like what graphics are printed on. i don't know if the chemicals in this are safe to use when exposed to the hps light. -ceiling paint, matte white. i'd use 2-3 coats.
i mean i could go out and buy some stuff, but i'd rather not throw down >$20 on reflective shit when i can just use something like this, which may not work as well but can be temporary and is free. i just don't want to damage my plants by using an unsafe material. what do you guys think i should do?
nice! i just finished painted most of the interior with the old ceiling paint. i also found roof paint that has huge letters on the front "highly reflective" or something like that. i assume either of those will do nicely. thank you sir
