So, I have a 150w HPS which I have done the past days of my flowering for my 2 plants. I now have a third plant (originally a mother, but I decided to just clone my clones) that I put into flower. Shes under the CFLs right now, because my HPS is taken up by the other two plants.
I have one plant that is going to be done in just a few weeks...I'm not completely sure how many weeks...I wanna say about 2 weeks. Which means the other plant will have to be under the CFLs for 2 weeks before she gets the HPS.
My question is...is it better to finish the one plant under the HPS and give my ex-mother plant the HPS for her first few weeks, or would it be better to let it finish under the CFLs and put the ex-mother under the HPS?
I ask because it seems like the one under the HPS has done most of its "growing" and now is just finishing...while I want the other to "grow" and the HPS seems best for that.
Sorry if my question is confusing.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?
I would say finish under the HPS. It might seem like it's done growing, but it's really putting on tons of weight right now internally. You might not be able to see it growing quite as vigorously as early flowering but the buds are hardening up and swelling so you'll really want the HPS there. This is when all the weight is added so if you want a good harvest you'll finish under the HPS. Your mother plant will be fine under the CFL's for a week or two, but I"d say just don't flower it quite yet. Chill for a week or two when you've got space under the HPS and then flower her
