I just modded my mushroom growing terrarium (found a good use for it, I've stopped my mycology hobby!) a little bit to be a cloning room.
I didn't have anymore spare socket-to-plug adapters, so I rigged a light up quick. It has 2 26 watt CFLs in it. They'll only be under it for a few hours...I've got a homie picking me up some adapters on the way home from work today.
So, my question is, how far away from the plastic should the lights be? Also, will 2 26 watt CFL's be sufficient for JUST developing roots? After they have roots, they'll be going into my veg room with their mommy.
These are my test run clones, to see if I can successfully do it. I have some rock-wool for my next attempt...so that should be interesting

Why should that mean it isn't real?
Well, I'm broke TBH. And, this is only my first time growing with anything besides some bagseed and random CFL's grown on 12/12 the whole time . I'm just going to keep it as simple as I can for now. Once I have a real good hold on things, and some more funding, and successful clones, etc I'll be ready to tackle that.
I just took the clones...went pretty smoothly. I've watched a bazillion videos and read so much it makes my head spin on taking clones...so, I think I did a good job. We'll see in a few weeks I guess
So, how far away for the lights? I mean, the thing is prolly about a foot and a half high...and they are in the bottom...so, I'd say they're about 8 inches from the top. Should I just put the lights a few inches away from the top?

This a is judgment call because you want to keep the humidity high, but the temperatures moderate, I'd say leave it where its at for now and if they don't seem to be drying out too badly lower it down over the course of a few days.
