Are you sure that pH is for hydro? In the video on the seed company website it looks like they are growing in soil.. I don't see any hoses or any other buckets around the plant. But if this isn't the case, then what is? I haven't gotten water on the leaves, and like you said it would take a little more light for it to burn my plant that bad.

Yes, it is fairly yellow.. Partly from the camera also though.. The leaves are more light green IRL. The veins are fairly dark green, and the tips of the leaves are almost bronze looking. From the research that I have done, these are symptoms of some micro nutrient deficiencies. Since I used potting soil that has nutrients in it though, I thought it would most likely be the pH, as I have read that sometimes when the pH is off the plant will show signs of nutrient deficiencies. What about the water? Could my tap water be killing it? I have grown plenty of bag seed with the exact same method, every time green and beautiful. This time, not so much luck... Could it be the strain is picky?

Many times in videos they will use what you call a soil-less mix, its usually composed of peat and perlite. If they didn't tell you directly, this mix will "look" just like soil.
