Quote: Moonajuana Time said: either there is consciousness after death, which would mean that consciousness is eternal and immortal and you will be aware "trapped" in this loop of reality at battle with itself for ever and ever...
or there is no consciousness after death, which would be freedom from this paradox. freedom from this terrifying reality which makes no sense to us.
either thought is a bummer
yeah thats kinda how i view thangs, i guess i will just let the law of conservation of energy make me Energy cannot be created or destroyed, so that
Quote: FRACTALife said: what about absolute oneness?
The way i see absolute oneness, is that it's already here, or can be experienced here, I really do think we are all part of this one thang, and a lot of people don't realize that because of religious indoctrination, and the media, but I think absolute oneness is what it says, absolute oneness, but also
it's like 'on' or 'off'
1 and 0
is nothingness absolute oneness?
I've had some experiences where, i experienced true and utter peace, and it was a death like experience, it was like being nothing, but also just being, idk hard to explain but it definitely
maybe that is why we usually tell the dead to 'rest in peace'
it's like the world we live in now is so not peaceful, and death is the only answer for that.
it just sucks that there will always be this fear of the unknown, and if all really is one, then that would mean we put ourselves in this situation, and i cant understand why we would do that lol.
but idk, lol, i guess its for the same reason why some people like to go watch horror movies
ya we're already one. but can you accept that? can you accept that all there is is everythang? or is the fear of infinity only a manifestation of the human brain
your consciousness sprouted from another consciousness. if that isn't the definition of perpetual consciousness than I don't know what is.
consciousness will never end, even if individual consciousness does.
the question is whether or not when you die your awareness "shifts" into the "all-consciousness" i.e. you become aware of all consciousness in existence.
as for individual consciousness, well. that's just reality trying to make sense of itself. which results in a Mandelbrot Set.
