 Option to filter posts based on user rating

i.e. reddit or slashdot comment system, etc. Is there a way to do this already?
Nobody seems to use "best posts" anyways? This would be an easy way to move "likely not to suck" posts to the forefront. I know I would read and reply to more posts if there was something like this.

I could just block the new guy with 2 stars, but if the new guy started contributing and people were giving him higher ratings, I wouldn't know because I'd have him blocked. I'm suggesting that they let us filter content from eachother based on the opinions of our peers.
An example: I rarely check general cultivation here anymore because I have to read four threads to find one I actually care to read. I check grow journals all the time because it is full of good content. I know there are good threads and posts in general cult, I just don't want to dig to find them.

i see..not a bad idea its probably just a little difficult to implement. i would do it but they wont let me 
so.....maybe Ythan will get around to this one day...or geo...whoever writes code for this site

i'd love something like this.
i use the best post when i remember, but it only shows threads for that day. It'd be nice if it had a read/unread system like the other forums so I can check the best posts through the last month.

I'm not sure, but it seems to only show the posts you vote up as long as the thread has more than 1 vote.
A way to save your favourite threads would be nice, but I like the idea of seeing threads other people rated up.

you can save your favorites. At the bottom of this thread is a link that reads 'Toggle Favorite'. Click that. Then it'll show on your 'account' home page. Furthermore, you can set your account to have your favorite threads viewable. Click here to see mine.

you can sort by best posts
click the plus sign above the post to rate it
then i guess once its done enough the best post link will work
