At first glance seems almost too good compared to the competition ... am I missing something?

Well it's cheap for sure. But your reflector doesn't have the ability to be vented. So if your growing in a small space it could be hard to keep your temperature under control. Having no experience with that brand I can't comment on the quality of it, but my guess is that it may not last very long.

I would atelast go to one of the better known budget stores because of warranty issues that may or may not arise.

I would expect that ballast to throw off a shit-ton of RF interference, just fyi. Even my HTG 400w was unusable. That thing would actually trigger my home alarm which would then trigger my fire alarm during bulb warm-up as it was putting so much feedback into my lines. A $5 in-line noise filter fixed it...but I got that ballast out of my room the first chance I got.
Cheap reflectors and bulbs are ok Cheap ballasts are dangerous Just my two cents

Very good to know that even 400 watt electronic ballasts throw off appreciable interference. I was hoping the interference from 400 watters and below was negligible but apparently that is not the case.
