Closet Grow - BC Mango - Northern Lights #5 - M39 - 1000W HPS - Update 04/20

February 12.
Got my seeds on Friday. Set 10 of them up in a damp paper towel around 7pm. Put the paper towel in a plastic sealed bag and put it on top of the refrigerator, where the temp is slightly above room temperature.
February 13.
Most seeds have already popped...I wasn't anticipating such a rapid germination period!
February 14.
All seeds have popped, today is planting day. I have 2-6 jiffy trays. I soaked the jiffies with 1ml/liter jumpstart solution.
February 15 - Evening
Now that all seeds have sprouted out of the ground, forcing me to remove the domes and expose to light.
I have posted part of my setup in the picture; explanations below...
I have walk in closet which is almost 4x4' and roughly 7 feet high, with access to the attic, which is great since I can use that for airflow. I basically divided the closet into one lower part which is 2 feet high for clones and early vedgetative growth, and the rest which will be for larger plants and flowering. This will allow me to keep the cycle without ever needing to stop.
I will be opting for a 1000w HPS as soon as I have enough clones for a SoG.
February 17:
Ok so here is an outside view of my setup. It is not yet complete as I would like it to be. I will wait another 2 weeks or so for the 1000W HPS. I most probably will obtain some Northern Lights #5 cuttings within a week that I will be incorporating to this setup.
This would be the top part (vedge/flowering compartment)
The tube you can see is to get some airflow to and from the lower compartment.
HEre is a view of both compartments:
And of course a few pictures of my babies...I am starting to think of names for each of them...

I have a few questions though...
1 - Should I incorporate enzymes (cannazym) at this point or wait another few days?
2 - When should I make my first(and only) transplant?
Thanks

1. Well considering that the plant at its current stage is small and poorly rooted I would say that it is not necessary for another two weeks. But keep in mind that the amount of nutrients/enzymes will fluctuate due to genetics and the size of you plant
2. I would say to wait to transplant until you are certain that your plant has a decent root ball. If I had to put a date on it then I would say wait at least 7 more days
Keep us updated

Here are a few more pictures...I figure i am still 2-3 more days away from transplanting.
I have started foliar spray every other day with Jumpstart/Vita-B solution. I had to put some sticks in there to keep the stems from leaning, but all in all, I think they are doing good.

Today I transplanted all 12 seedlings. They all look pretty much healthy. They were also solid enough for me to remove the supports. I have 2-3 seedlings which seem to have blown ahead of the others though, I sure hope they are females
Here are the juices I will be using for the vegetative stage.
Any thoughts, comments?

Thought it was about time I started following each "lady" individually. So I gave them names, instead of numbers, and I might add that I am using reverse psychology on these broads, giving each of them male names. I must say most of them are quite enjoying their new found space and diet. So here goes:
Goliath
Bruce Lee (although thin, I hope this one will turn out to be mighty)
Sid the Kid
Ringo
Casseau
Ramses
Roger
Elvis (notice the hair do!)
Alex the Great
Rambo
Pip Sqweek
Shrek

Nice. Were they rooted when you got them?

Yeah, they were all root-balled. I transplanted them right away. It's been 8 hours and I seem to have avoided shocking them, I'm really glad.
I have them all on 18/24. I would say I am about a week away from sexing the ones I grew from seeds..

Hello Mr. HPS 1000w,
I think the babies will love their new sun. Have a look at my "almost final" setup.
I plan on making a mini SoG. I want to sex the mangos pretty soon, maybe in a week or so, but I want to bulk em up a bit first.
I think I might have a minor cooling problem, I will find out tonight...
Here is M39 Alpha
And here is Goliath (biggest Mango)
Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated

Everything is running smoothly so far, I have a room temperature of about 78F. Humidity is a little low at 25% even with a coolmist running 24/7. I have a few yellow spots on some of the leaves, but it isn't overwhelming.
I would still like to know what the score is though.
Anyone know what it could be? Nute burn?
** Edit : I think I found the problem. I started using bottled water, which is already at 155ppm: nute burn! dayum.

Go figure...my tap water is 23 ppm ffs. Can you tell us what brand of water that was so we never buy it?
Everything looks great man. It is obvious you have done your research, can't wait to see them grow up.

Hi All,
Thought I'd post an update on my overall setup. I still have a few things to sort out like that white layer you can see peeling off the wall, which I will eventually replace with Mylar.
I have managed to get my temperature down to 76 degrees with lights on and 70 with lights out. I put a tube into the attic with a fan pushing air up there, meanwhile pulling air in from another hole....Just that step erased 90% of my problems.
Still no sex showing from the Mango, but I'm hoping to see signs within 48 hours.
