Trimming during flowering?

All the bottom branches are not getting very much light so I was hoping if trimming the small bottom branches off will put more energy into the the top branches, and not cause to much stress that it will hermie.

I'm getting ready to do a SCROG grow with a sativa hybrid. As long as you know the canopy is going to get enough light to block the lower branches, go ahead and trim the bottom ones off. It won't shock the plant or cause it to hermie, the bottom leaves end up not doing shit anyway.

It also gives you better air flow under the canopy.
