OK, so, theres some buds you can tell from the very beginning aren't going to be dense or smokeable. Personally, I leave them for hash making material. I love trim almost as much as I love bud, so its all the same to me.
But, for anyone who routinely trims lower branches off, do you see increased yields? I suppose the mentality is that it "focuses energy" to the top buds...but that seems off to me.

I've read that if you do trim the lower nugs off then it needs to be before they are any bigger then an 8th inch in diameter or something so you dont shock the plant. Isn't there something called lollipopping or something?
I personally leave everything on the plant unless I see it causing a visible problem for the nugs so I cannot tell you from experience if you could expect more or less yield sorry. :/

Its all good, I'm just wondering what others do.
Like I said, I leave everything because I loves me some hash. I take any buds that are smaller than an inch tall and put them in the hash pile. I probably hashify buds most people would save, but thats how I likes it.

Yea it just allows more energy to push up to the other buds. I am actually about to do it now about 3-4 weeks in to flower I have too I didn't expect these plants to grow as much as they did...Too many budsites.
Yea and like he said lollipopping is the way to go.

I always tell myself I want to trim all the crap from the bottom, but then I never do. I just see it as such a waste of potential hash making material. I love hash more then bud so it's a no brainer for me to save it up for a bubble or oil run.
As has already been said, trimming alone won't necessarily increase your yield per se. It will help focus that energy into the other bud sites though. IIRC trimming past two weeks of flowering can be counterproductive, but I'm not sure if I remember that right or not.
