i feel sad...for this is the 1st time i have done this ever...how bad is it for the plants...what r the consequences? im such a fuckup...i hate myself!

well, they're not gonna be happy, growth might stop for a few days, but chances are you'll come out ok. Just don't make it a re-occurring problem.

Don't sweat it too much. It's probably not a good thing, but not the end of the world either. Look on the bright side, you'll NEVER do that again!!!
Reminds me of when I was adjusting my shoplight chains in my veg closet and dropped the light on top of all my seedlings. None were hurt, but needless to say all the plants come out of the closet when I'm adjusting now. Or when I dropped my fan at lights out and it unplugged. I plugged it right back in and turned it on. It blew dust and fan lint all over my precious. Lesson: Clean the fan more often.

Remember to, that in nature, there are occurances, such as a full moon, which can and will affect flowering cycles or dark periods for other species of plants during veg.
Like the choir said, don't make it a habit, the worst is losing a couple of days, compared to say, dropping a fan/light/nutrient solution on/or around your plants....

Ok, if this should ever happen again leave the lights on till the next time they are to go off. Yes this sounds funny but it will handle the problem with no shock to the plants at all.
Now as for now if the plants were pretty far into flowering they should be fine.
