What kind of cacti is this? sanpedro?

about a week ago I went to the store and bought a cactus that looks like a sanpedro. Am I right?

Neat cactus, but doesn't look very pedro-ish. Quills are too long and pedros don't usually turn blue like that.

quite possibly a t. peruvianus (peruvian torch)
but maybe a more trusted cacti identifier could chime in, and in the while i'm going for a PT. did the store specify what kind it was?

I know this is a little late, but I just saw this thread.
That looks like a trichocereus peruvianus, or Peruvian Torch, and yes if it is, it is active.
