 20GB PS3 upgrade.....

So i decided to upgrade my PS3 from 20GB to 500GB.
Which HDD should i get???:
WD Scorpio Blue 2.5in SATA Notebook Harddrive
500GB, 8MB transfer rate and 5400RPM for $100.00
or
Seagate Momentus 2.5in SATA Notebook Hard drive
500GB, 8MB transfer rate and 5400RPM for $100.00
Seagate, ive been told, is the best around but never heard of WD Scorpio, seeing as how their both $100 i really cant lose ...let me kno what u guys think.....thanks

Go with the fucking Seagate man.
They have been around forever and are a very reputable company.
Why go with the no-name company when it's the same price as the well-known best?
Western Digital is also at the top of the list.

the WD in WD Scorpio IS Western Digital as i mentioned.....

Do you have a link on how to do this. Mines 80 gig, and I would like a bigger hard drive without getting one of the new ones. They don't have a lot of the features that mine has, just a bigger hard drive.
And yes I'm being to lazy to look this up myself.

WD and Seagate are both very reputable companies, in fact they are the only two HDD brands I use
But im really interested in this now, I have a 30gb and would love to put in a 160gb 2.5" drive I have from my old laptop
BTW, if you want to spend more and buy a 7200rpm drive im not sure it would be compatible but would make your load times way faster, you would have the most leet ps3 on tha block

yea most of the PS3s arent compatible with the 7200 RPM HDD. Only problem i got now is that i have to find an external hard drive that runs in FAT32 format so it is compatible with the PS3 and i can backup all my game data and reinstall it on the new HDD.

yea it is easy lol. U can get an external storage device that only runs on NTFS format and then ud partition that drive to run in FAT32 format, i got the program to do it, but id rather just buy one from a store that i kno is in FAT32 format
