Making a new cross

I have a stable G13 Haze pheno in female clone form that I've decided to breed. After a lot of thinking I decided to cross it with the legendary Mango. The sativa dominant G13 should make for a nice mix with the heavy indica Mango. Really banking on some hybrid vigor.
Just wanted to share and see if anyone else liked this cross choice.
Mango - So dense and greasy G13 Haze - So attractive

Sounds interesting. they are both good strains. Green Crack (aka Green Cush) is a cross of Skunk#1 and Afghani.

Looking good pal.
What are you looking for in your cross? have you decided what traits you are looking for?
I have >GOT< to get me a clone of mango. I've always wanted seeds or a clone - but that kind of stuff is found in Cali while stuff in FL is not on such a large variety; though the dank nugs I've been getting are never steady, always something different.

Thanks. I smoked some Mango Kush a few years ago and was told that was Green Crack. Since then I've never been clear if Green Crack was Mango or Mango Kush or Green Kush or what.

I'm looking for:
Shoter flowering period - Mango finishes 1-2 weeks earlier than G13, so hopefully the cross will finish at least 3-7 days earlier.
Increased fiber production - The G13 flowers pack on more weight than their skinny branches can handle. Mango is quite dense and sturdy.
Better flavor - G13 tastes like ground pepper and pine to me, not my favorite by a long shot. Mango is always described as one of the most flavorful indicas out there so it was a logical choice.

You have to remember it's like people. Ya have one black parent and one white one. They have say 10 kids. Some will be all white, some all black, then you have a few funky inbetweeners. The same thing with a first time cross. Some will have a short flowering time, some long and some inbetweeners. So you'll have to start a bunch of females and see which has the trates you want.

I'm pretty damn sure Green Crack is not Mango. Green Crack was originally called Green Cush; with a C.
But, nonetheless, it looks like you picked some pretty nice parents for making a new cross.
I'm gonna keep my eyes on this one.

For those that were interested in following this, pollination was a success and the seeds are developing nicely. Will have more updates in 4-6 weeks.
