Going to make 1 grow tent with a flap down the middle.
I use several CFL bulbs on a switch timer left side 12/12. right side 18/6.
for 12 hours the flap is up. so everything gets all the lights. then i close the flap for 12 hours hours. the left side veges at 12/12 while the right still gets light for another 6 hours.
this way during the first 12hours i can maximize by using more indirect light.
or would two separate tents on their own timers make sense?

should work as long as you block out all the light for the flowering side. Light leaks can promote hermi tendencies.

do you really want to have to be there on such a strict schedule ?
just put a permanent flap down the middle and get another light
