miracle grow fertilizers are low quality, really made for people who just like house plants and whatever.
even serious gardeners won't use the stuff. (as in people who grow for food not weed farmers)
miracle grow soil is very cheap mainly intended for house plants. it's not made like rich soils like fox farm where they have it constantly spread and mixed under uv lights to kill bacteria and larvae eggs and whatever else.
many of my friends have clean homes with house plants using miracle grow and get khats and whatever other bugs... im sure its cause of the cheap soil.
you also don't want to use miracle grow because of it's un-ideal nutrients and the "fertilizer bombs" they have some time release fertilizers which are good for house plants that you never want to feed not good for growing weed.

hydroponics shops... specialty shops... online
advanced nutrients are very good.
reading hanky's posts I'm nearly sold on a coco grow.
bat guano and worm castings with a soil mix would work well.
such as...
35% perlite 35% soil 20% coco 10% worm castings a handful of bat guano and clay pebbles in the bottom for drainage
this is the big buddha seeds mix.
dj short's has a good mix
35% spaghnum moss 35% perlite 5% mix of trace mineral elements, washed sand, granulated charcoal, and volcanic ash 10% bat guano 15% worm castings
that's from memory but I think it's right.
coco / perlite + canna coir nutrients seems soooo simple and painless on the grower though.

Is the miracle grow organic mix okay? It doesn't have the bombs in it. But i have experienced insect problems due to any miracle grow soil.
