Hey Tripp, What casing did you use for your mono tub and how did you layer it. I'm perping my coc/vermiculite mix right now, preping to put my Penis Envy in WBS in and my last try didnt go well.

He didn't use a casing layer. He spawned to coir and then went right to fruiting.

Yeah. But if he made a tek here he could say it was his, and get loads of credit for it. Like Einstein did with General Relativity.

Oh sure he could. I'm not one to remake the wheel though. The wheels we have work pretty good.

hmm, that first pic looks like a mutant, in the other two pics i see uncolonized substrate, did you mess with it,or did it just not colonize? i read this thread yesterday, but i forgot what strain this is

B+ ya I had to put it into fruiting early so the sub isnt completely colonized. There arent contams that I can see. But ya there are a couple of mutants haha. Maybe thats what it was. The first one pinned before I put it into fruiting so that could possibly be why maybe. The set coming in looks like there are pins everywhere though. So I hope I get one good flush outta this at least.

yeah, i see a lot of pins so you should do fine. a little trick i use when i fruit early is to put a casing layer on but a very thin one. this way i can increase FAE without increasing the chance of contams do to some exposed substrate

i normally take the polly out, i only use it to fine tune the RH, witch is another reason i like a casing layer, the colour gets liter as it drys, good indicator
