 Noob grower in need of advice

Hey guys
First time grower here in need of advice.
We just brought home our first batch of clones on July 1st. Transferred from smaller container to 5 gal. black grow containers. Used 707 organic soil. Pots in large holes in ground w/plenty of air circulation & not standing in water.
Seemed to be fine at first but now tips of leaves turning brown/copper & spreading to entire leaf. Some plants are droopy, one clone died.  The Hot weather here in Norcal has become a problem. Daytime temps 100-110. Would it help to move our 5 gal pots to the shade? Things look pretty wilted. Moisture meter reads max level of moisture in pots. Water 1/2 gal per plant every 2-3 days.
Any advice would be appreciated.

What time of day are you watering them cause if its 110 outside all the water will just evaporate
also if you water the plant by spraying it with a hose (getting the leaves all wet) while the sun is out they will burn much quicker

We water them around 7 in the morning and give them a gentle misting after sunset. We added to much fertilizer at first (see pics) but after flushing the soil they seem to be recovering.

nute burn, and underwatering.....flush again, lower the dose of nutrients a little and when you water dont be afraid to get the soil wet .......did you root the clones before planting them?

The pics I posted earlier were about a week old.
Here's some updated pics:
The soil on top feels a little dry but the moisture meter reads wet. With this heat (102 today, 7th day in a row of over 100 degree heat) would it be better for the plants to be moved in the shade?

stick your finger in the soil up to your knuckle and see if its dry, thats the best way to test for mositure ........and wow 102d thats hot as hell it rarely ever gets up to 100d over here.......the new growth seems healthy....

I'm a little concerned with how droopy the leaves on this plant are. The branches seem to be going limp. Possible over watering/under watering?

well drooping leaves can mean a few things underwatering, too much watering, too much nutrients which in turn will dehydrate the plant if not watered enough..... lookin at the burnt tips and edges along with the drooping, you seem to be underwatering and feeding them just a little too much nutrients, doing that should toughen up the stems a little also.....but more info would be nice.....like how often do you water, what are you feeding them, whats your PH runoff, whats your nute solution PH, temps, etc.....

Water twice a week, half gal. per plant
I'm using Fox Farm Grow Big liquid plant food and I last fed my plants sometime last week.
Sorry for the n00b question but whats PH runoff? Do you mean the PH of the water/soil? I'm using a 6-4-4 nute solution.

For pH runoff you water the plants and then test the pH of the water than comes out the bottom of the pot after going through the soil.
In that last pic you posted I would say they look a little thirsty to me. If it's super hot and dry out then you'll likely need to water more than twice a week. What's your average humidity out there?

dood their thirsty........when you do water, water it till you start to see some coming through the bottom of the bucket (thats the "run-off")..... dont give them scheduled amounts of water.....water them when their telling you they need it
