This is very urgent. Tell your MP to vote NO on Bill C-15, Mandatory Minimums for Marijuana!
Tell your Member of Parliament: "Bill C-15 is not going to work. Studies show that mandatory minimum sentences for drug crimes are ineffective. Even the United States of America is repealing their mandatory minimum sentences for drug crimes! You are my representative in the House of Commons, and I ask you to be sure to NOT pass Bill C-15!"

My letter to the MP; I hope more people will send in letters or emails, and we can collectively change the mind of our ignorant government.
Dear Mr. Nicholson,
I am a cannabis user. I have consumed the products of this plant for a long time. I started as a recreational user, but as I learned more about this sacred plant I began to see it as medicine and treat it as such. I believe that Bill C-15 will create more problems than it will solve and as my local MP you have a responsibility to me, and the rest of the Canadian public, to ensure that this bill does not get passed.
In general, cannabis users are peaceful and productive members of society. There are more important problems that our government could be addressing instead of wasting time and tax payers money on trivial matters such as the prohibition of cannabis. Billions of dollars each year could be raised with the taxation of cannabis, and those funds could be distributed to combat homelessness, help improve the quality of our public schools, and re-educate the Canadian public about the beneficial uses of the cannabis plant.
I don't want to take up too much of your time, I know you are a busy man and your country is counting on you to do the right thing. End prohibition. It is not working, and if you think mandatory minimum sentences is going to change this country, you're right, but it will be a change for the worse. Prohibition funds organized crime like the Hell's Angels. Do you want to give them more income? Criminal organizations use the profits they earn from cannabis to fund other activities such as gun and hard drug smuggling, meth production, and other offenses.
I implore you, vote no to Bill C-15. Thank you for your time.

Awesome man, they have a form you can just fill out available at whyprohibition.ca so you don't even need to track that down if you don't want to. Check it out and more people on this site need to step up xD

I actually met my MP in person a few years back in high school. So I threw in mention that he inspired me to become involved in Politics.
