here check this shit out, its only 47$ and it says it is optimal for watering up to 10 plants. I think I am going to grab one of these babies when I start my grow

lots of options
hydroponics is all basically automatic watering
you also have the option of passive hydroponics which would use wicks which seems very interesting to me.
