heh yeah i thought about that but don't really feel like going through the hassle of buying the lights online, anyway 3000k should be good for flowering as well.

6000k-6500k for vegging, 2500k-3000k for flowering, ive been vegging with four 4' tubes, two 3000k and two 6500k, and my plants are doing pretty damn good

it's cool i got my question answered this is only my first time growing so i dunno if u wanna take my advice, but i'd start with the blue spectrum and then after a week or two add the hps
unlike some people say plants do absorb red light during vegging as well, just not as much as during flowering so vegging with both is a good idea
my plants have been doing great under only 160w of fluorescent tubes, and i just added another 80w, i'll be updating my grow log tomorrowish if i find the time

i'm using tubes, not cfl
and yeah i realize that HID is better, but i don't feel like ordering them online and they didn't have any high wattage ballasts at home depot, so we'll see what happens, if they work shitty i'll know better next time
