Is it okay to have a tray with 4inch rockwool cubes intersperesed through out with about a 2-4 inch gap between each block with out any hydroton to fill in the gaps on anything can afoaf leave this uncovered for the roots to be exposed to the light? Also what kind of flood/drain time schedules do you guys like to go by foaf is growing white widow right now the ppms are 700 and the ph is 5.8. Afoaf floods for 15mins every 3hrs. Something about them dont look right Afoaf dont know if its heat stress but the heats not too bad 81degrees and 60percent humidity. I will post a pic for afoaf if you guys need but afoaf might be suspecting the problem is coming from the root conditions. Is it okay to have the roots exposed to light/air in ebb/flow provided the proper drain/flood times are provided for.
Flood and draining cubes every 3 hrs with one week old clones is prob way more then needed.

How often is appropriate? AFOAF cut the watering back to every four hrs for 15 mins. They are growing new roots/foilage but they still look droopy and sick some the leaves are yellowing and possible showing signs of a deficiency not burn im assuming since the ppms are 700 and the ph 6.3 The pppms and ph seems to be staying stable and not fluctuating up or down and I top off the reservoir whenever needed. Could it be hes having problems because hes not feeding them micronutes? He only feeding the GH Floranova Grow its says its a one part fert. He just ordered some hygrozyme and GHflora micronutes as well as GH Floralicous Grow... I want to get these guys healthy please let me know if ive left anything out
Well cubes aren't really a flood and drain type of medium. They are more for drip systems. They only need to be flooded when the cubes seem to be drying out.
