So when you sea of green, besides where your mothers are, I want to talk about the flower room. Say I have 650 watts of HPS and want to use that inside of a room for flowering. How big of space on the ground should I use for how many clones to flower? Ive seen where you try to get 4 plants per sq ft but im not sure if thats right. Also whats the best way to do sea of green, should I veg a little after the clones root so they can be a little taller for flowering, will it effect the yield?
Also would having 400 watts in the room instead of 650 watts make my buds less dense? What I mean is will they be more lanky if I use 400 instead of 650.

Take what I say with a grain of salt since my friend hasn't grown indoors yet, so this is just based on what I've read from posts on here and from reading elsewhere. 
I'm not sure on exactly how much floor space to aim for with that much light, but I think a four foot by four foot square would definitely be a good way to go (might be able to do a bigger area). I've been told that four plants per square foot is a good way to go. I would guess you could veg for a little while after they root but I think its common to put them right to flower. You should definitely get a better yield by going with 650 watts instead of 400 but how lanky the plants are would depend on how far the light is away from the plants (basically if they have to grow to reach better light). I think more watts means that the buds will be more dense and the plants will have more resources to be more productive (better potency I would assume).
Like I said, that's just my assessment of what I've read (my friend will be growing soon and he's going to go for the same thing you'll be going for, 600 HPS, four plants per square foot, sog), so someone who knows from experience will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong so I can learn too.

I'd assume you could let them veg for awhile if you have enough space in a separate area but you might not be able to do the four plants per square foot thing if you do.

judging from the solo cups i would say they are 15-20 inches tall..
depends on your lamp for distance.. i keep my plants about 10 inches from my 400 watt hps bulbs
to the op ...you can put as few or as many as you like..just remember that as you go up in plant numbers ,you go up in jailtime as well..
i put 4 plants per 400 in my room.. but its not really a sea of green.. i grow bigger plants that yield alot more... i usally get from 2 to 4 oz a plant
on the floor space thing.. 3 x 3 for 2 400 4 x 4 for 600 , and 5 x 5 for 1000

The more light the better I would think, as long as heat doesn't become an issue.

denser buds plus you get more light penetration which means lower branches produce better buds as well.
