here are my supplies so far that were just purchased:
New Wave t5 - 24w (4 lamp) light set-up
quart of Pureblend Pro Bloom for Soil
quart of Dyna-Gro Pro-Tekt silica additive
1 oz. PH Test Kit
of course i still have plenty of other things to get like soil, pots, timer, fans, thermostat.
i was just wondering what other suggestions you have in terms of nutrients, in order to pull off a decent grow.
you're welcome to ask me questions, cause i know there's a lot of stuff i might have missed and i'd like to do this grow right this time.

 . Just don't forget to plan ahead. That's potentially allot of plants to keep under one set of fluorescent lights.

well i have 2 separate grow boxes set aside, just in case there are too many plants to handle for those flouros. each box can fit 4 CFLs in them, so i'm all set. i just need to keep track of what nutes to feed them and i should be good to go

Even with your cfl's 12 plants will try to leap frog each other (stretching) trying to get the most light. You do have awhile before that becomes a problem so your options are: providing more light, weeding out the lest desirable specimens as they grow hoping you end up with a high female/male ratio, or watching your work turn into a jungle-like mess. You can buy yourself some time by starting low stress training early. That will maximize your available light and you might be able to see signs of sex before things turn bad. The technique I'm using can be found here at Grass City Forums(L.S.T.). If you don't want to use metal hangers for the tie down you might want to look for some small gauge galvanized steel wire from your local hardware store.

about 5ftx4ft with the ceiling maybe about 8-9 ft, but that's just an estimate. i just found out that the bulbs don't come with the lighting system, so i have my choice of wattage for the grow. i guess i'll be heading to a lowe's/home depot for some bulbs sometime soon.

I'm pretty sure you need to use the bulb wattage that is intended to be used with the light fixture you're purchasing. You also need to make sure you get the right color temperature of bulbs for the growth state your plants are in.

20 square feet would require one 1k light to properly light it. You would be best off either buying 2 400 watt equivalents, or, reducing the size of the room with some panda film. 50 watts/ sq ft is the recommended optimal point, personally i wouldn't fall below 40. Keep that in mind when choosing your lighting setup and designing your room.

yeah, make ur closet smaller.
like he said either get some film, or throw up a sheet of super thin plywood cut to size and flat white spray paint it.
section off that closet and make that light work for ya.
or get new lights

yah, if you section off the closet you can keep on area for clone/veg/moms, and the other side for flower. It would make the best use of your space. Just get some L brackets, a piece of wood, and bracket the wood to a stud in the closet. If you cut it right in 1/2 that gives you 10 sq ft on each side which is great for a scrog grow.

thanks for all the advice
i cancelled my order for those t5 lights
i'm just gonna visit the local hydro stores and search for a better light setup
i should have pics up of my closet and everything once i get my camera charged
