I was just wondering what you veterans opinions are on outdoor growing for maximum potency and yield?
I keep wanting to try to find a good type for me to grow like 20-30 plants and have a good yield, but I don't want to sacrifice potency either.
Anybody have any suggestions? please list strain for outdoor grows... I'm not worried about hiding large size plants. I have plenty of space at my disposal.

My latitude is 43.212
I am growing from bag seed this year... seems to be working out with the four plants I have... But I want more for next year with good potency results.

if your in the south go sativa... such as skunk#1 or some sort of haze
if you in the north go indica.... such as blockhead, sweet tooth 1.1, afghani#1, hindu kush.
if you're in between get a hybrid of some sort.

indica or indica dom then.
afghani#1 and hindu kush would be good picks.
you could get away with something like white widow even.

Yeah, I have been looking at those strains...
Say, what makes the difference for growing in my area... between sativa and indica?

sativas require a very long flowering time. when you're outdoors, your flowering period is limited by the time between when daylight hours begin to reach 12/12 and the first frost of your latitude. sativas would likely not finish in time at your location. indicas have a much shorter flowering time compared to sativas, and are able to finish flowering at more northern locations.

If I were to grow indoors, what temperature range would I have to maintain? I am thinking I want to try a few plants hydroponically this winter just for kicks... to see how it goes.

Generally you want it to be ~75F during the day period, and no less than ~65F during the night period.
