SO i have a little sproutling growing in a spot near my house,
and i've just started thinking about budding, if it ends up becoming a female.
what should i do? should i pot it, and bring it inside at night in order to induce it early? or just wait until winter really starts to come?

It's my experience with outdoor plants that they start flowering sooner than you think they will. Probably depends on your latitude, but last year I had one start in mid-August.

if its in a very well hidden spot that nobody will find just leave it there, outdoor crops will get huge and yield a ton of bud. just make sure it wont be found. what latitude you at?
