OKAY LOTR is so much obviously better
have you read the novels? EVEN the Hobbit?
Tolkien has not only created a complete civilization, BUT ALSO numerous languages to go with it!

The Illuminatus! or Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy makes both of the other trilogies look like a steaming pile of shit.

Man I hated the Lord of the Rings books, movies were awsome though. Better then Star Wars.

I read the entire LOTR trilogy in grade 7 in the span of 4 days....

Psh thats nothing, I read the entire Robert Jordan seris in grade five, finished it before my teacher who was reading it at the same time to.

I read the lotr trilogy and the silmirillian and other books when I was 10 or so. Still I think

star wars>lotr (movies)

because

sci-fi>>>>fantasy

Seriously, a lot of fantasy fans weird me out.

Oh and as someone mentioned earlier

cartoon lotr>new lotr

Much more heady.

But just to mix things up a little and keep things nerdy

star trek (series)>star wars>lotr
