About a month and a half ago I got the urge to plant some seeds my sister had gotten me for Christmas. I've now come to realize this was a mistake, as they are already ready to transplant and I won't be able to plant them outside til June.
Most of them are in my veg room, but I threw one into flower under a 15w light just to see what would happen. Even the ones still in veg are producing flowers already, so I've been pollinating them with my sonicare toothbrush in the hopes that that will slow their vertical growth while providing me with some tomatoes before the season starts.
Both varieties are supposed to be indeterminate, most of them are "Black Strawberry" cherry tomatoes from baker creek, and there is one "Giant Crimson", from the youtuber MiGardener's site. He basically brought that variety back from the dead by planting 80 year old seeds and getting one to sprout.
I'd like to cross the two tomato varieties, but the Giant crimson isn't looking too hot. It had some GMO clones fall on it and it lost a few leaves, now it seems to be struggling.
