Hypothetically speaking, if one were to say, use 3 times the needed amount of dry amendments when top dressing a coco based medium, what would happen? I got really high and calculated that for my 5 10gal pots I would need 3.125 cups of dry amendments total, but I gave that to each pot....lol.
Now I know it's not going to harm the plants, but what happens to it in the medium? Should I still top dress (with the correct amount) in a month? Do unused nutrients go bad when just left in the medium?
I just can't believe I did that.

my noob ass id just frantically scoop off the top some, hit the plant with fresh kelp spray maybe (to make it hungry?) and then flush flush flush flush til that shit is like clear... maybe even turn the pot sideways and flush just over the top so it doesnt get down to the feet
after that still hold off on feeding for a while maybe it absorbed just enough to keep it going for a while

Like I said, I know that the plants will be fine, so there would be no reason to panic or flush. I am feeding the soil not the plants, the plants take what they want from the soil. I was just wondering if I could or should skip next month's top feeding. Soil is SUPER rich now lol.
