Cannabis seed shelf life

What's the shelf life like on cannabis seed stock and how should one properly store them? I currently have them in a cool dark spot.

They can last for years if stored properly. Generally you want to store in a dark cool dry place like a refrigerator. Avoid the freezer.  I currently have some 25+ strains  in glass vials inside a cardboard box. I keep them on a lower shelf as the top one half freezes things sometimes.

I've sprouted 25year old seeds that just sat in a film container. If they dry they die.
