Hey guys. I'm trying to find the perfect light for a 2x4x5 tent. Right now I have a marz hydro ts1000. It's ok so far. Last grow I used vivusun 300w came with tent. I also have a cheap little 300w purplish led. I just watched a review on the marz hydro and it wasnt so good. Can anyone point me into good direction to get some healthy buds? I know the marz is for a smaller space than my tent. Thanks in advance. Hobbit
I have a bunch of the qb96 elite v2 boards from HLG and so far I like them. There are more efficient options out there, but the qb96 is a good value. However, with a height of only 5', you'd probably want a strip light, so you can run it closer to the canopy and maximize vertical space.
If you can DIY, you'll save a ton of money and end up with a really nice light. Before I got the 96s I was considering 4' samsung f-series strips with the lm561c diodes. Then came the lm301b, and 301h diodes. Not sure which strips use those, or which is the best anymore.
Actually, you could also do a build with the qb132 v2's. I'd use 8 of them for your 2x4, it would be a tight fit but you'd have really nice coverage. With a little planning you could even leave room in the frame for near-uv diodes, which can increase cannabinoid and terpene content.
