 Shatter vs. Rosin

ok, so I have both, but I am wondering what is the difference between the two, other than the method in which they are extracted?
I know shatter is made with butane, whereas rosin is made by applying heat and pressure to the buds.
Does that make rosin a superior product in comparison with shatter?
I have yet to try the rosin, but shatter I love, I have tried it many times and it never fails to deliver a strong, quality high.

Rosin will leave behind more residue, so I recommend cleaning out your rig with a wet q-tip after every dab. It will probably have a better flavor, with a similar high. Rosin is definitely classier than BHO, but live rosin is even classier than that.
I'm going to be picking up a rosin press after I get my new grow room set up, if I can still afford one. I'm prioritizing weed growing over extraction gear for now, but I'd also like to pick up a source turbo at some point.
I'd pick a day and try the rosin exclusively that day, so you can compare it to the high of the BHO. I'd then try two dabs side by side to compare the flavors, and see which you prefer. That is, if I had any rosin or BHO

Never fear Batman, where there's a will there's a way!
I'm sure you will come across good quality shatter in no time.
My caregiver is awesome, he sells me 4g of shatter for just $70.
And he says that his shatter averages between 80 and 90% THC.
So I'm going to vape the shatter and the rosin out of my glass oil burner pipe, since I do not own a rig.
It's much easier this way, no rig, no giant torch, no dab tool, no nail needed.
You just drop a piece of shatter into the bulb and heat it from below, even a regular lighter works.

All preference, I've had good and b as d of both. I prefer live extract shatter, heat destroys compounds.
